Why does the box keep going into standby?
We always conscious about the amount of energy we use. That’s why we have an automatic standby mode. If you’ve been inactive for a certain amount of time, we’ll give you a nudge and say your box is about to go into standby. You can press any button to restart the timer. If you don’t press anything, then we’ll assume you fell asleep in front of the TV and pop your box into standby for you.
Changing the automatic standby time
You can change the standby time in the settings menu to something that suits you best.
- Open the Menu
- Select Settings*
- From Box management select Power & standby
- Select Automatic standby
- Choose preferred time limit from 2, 3, 4 or 12 hours options
- Select Done
*Settings can be found via the cog in the top right corner of the Menu. You can get to the cog by pressing Up and right after opening the Menu.
